You mean Micro$oft lawyers are dumb enough to think that the words such as “Yemeni” or “Kurds” are controversial because of modern conflicts, and we’ll get “Rasulids” or “Ayyubids” instead?
…yeah, you’d probably be right, they are fairly stupid. Although they didn’t block the Mountain Royals release despite the war, so there’s a chance.
We already have 56 cis… if you had to pick 9 more to get 65 civs as a final number, wich ones would you pick? I know I would like 2 for every continent (americas, europe, asia) and 3 for africa.. but I only have 4 clear civs…
Venice and Serbia for europe, and tlaxcalans and tarascans for americas… maybe a sarracen split for asia, but I absolutely have no clue about african civs
Was it because of the war though, or did they simply lack time to finish them, or perhaps decided to implement their stuff into the reworked Persians instead? (Perhaps the Citadels tech was originally Azeri)
It makes sense. Azerbaijan is a Caucaus state, neihbour of Georgia and Armenia. Azerbaijanians/Azeris could be in the Mountain Royals DLC. Let me guess. UU was Qizilbash, UT was Citadel, Campaign was Ismael. Ismael and his fallowers were Turcomans. Playing Ismael as Persians isn’t accurate. Moreover his Qizilbash ally is Tatars. I wonder why did they scrap.
I’d say that the Safavids did become a Persian dynasty, but the in-game Persians with elephants aren’t fit for his campaign. Turcomans/Azeris designed with the later period in mind would fit better.
Hey, I’d love to see them! The issue is that we can only cast two votes in the poll, so after voting for North Americans and Africans I can’t vote for Oceanians.
Saffavids did become a Persian dynasty in AoE3 timeline I think. Reforms during Abbas I (1587-1629) can be a breaking point. In 16. century Saffavids was still Turkic.
