Thanks for the poll. Good questions, matches a lot of the feedback that I’ve seen in the community. It’s good that it was kept to yes or no, with a 1-5 satisfaction poll at the bottom.

Nice poll questions!!

I’m on the fence with infantry buffs? Cavs have significantly improved and infantry units got double nerfed (springalds, army tactics). The balance if possible is to find a spot where range cav has its advantages and range infantry has its advantages.

Range/cav has flanking, raiding and siege popping abilities/advantages.

Range/infantry is slow? Not tankier?? Has more counters??? I’m drawing a blank on what advantages this comp has over the above mentioned??

Now i think about it??? Before this patch the most consistently absurb composition most ppl at high levels griped about was crossbow spear springalds. That combat beats everything!!! This patch has absolutely put a damper to that old god comp bc springalds are re-purposed and spears get double countered along with already soft counters to spears (maa crossbows)?

I never thought i would say this, but after played some games, I really miss a unit that plays the role of the springalds before the patch. Also, the ranged units are very op at the moment. Before the patch, the mangonels in the castle era were oppressive and the springald war was boring. It needed to change, but now the late game is not good.

Make bombards if opponent siege are protected.

Thats a good point. I will try it.

But there’s something else that’s bothering me, crossbow + spearmen counter everything in the game now, except archers.

The change of season 9 is too big… some hard to accept

Nice poll. One more thing, the basic damage of bombard should also be adjusted back. Have you ever seen any villagers who can withstand the bombard?

Lol yes, even great bombard, which is so stupid to see.

Nice poll questions!

i cant understood why so many people think cavalry HP is acceptable, maybe they play jd&french only know let them knight die,

i would’ve liked two more questions:

  • Do you think Silk Bowstrings tech should be removed?
  • Do you think university upgrades should be reverted?

I would’ve answered yes to both, even though i like the biology buff

in my opinion, springald should be an anti siege weapon again. This is most dissatisfied for me.

springald must to be anti-siege,if we lose a charecter like anti-siege weapon, just only push mangonels to an awkward position,or they useless in too little,or so strong in numbers that cannot to against,if still keep mangonels like this patch, the end of mangonels is only way to marginalization

Welcome to those new to the forum who have registered to vote! Curious to see.

Make bombards vs mass Mangos with protection.

bombards need 350w500g&50d,and new patch give mangos 85%,so bombards need 18 shot to destory when one shot to mangos just 7.5d,and mangos just 400w200g.
in view of bombards even cannot kill a vill at one shot,I dont think its useful way about anti-mangos in economics

sum up:A massive change to the game mechanics that caused some players who could no longer afford the cost of their time to give up.

The balance damage caused by the modification of the game mechanics did not have enough patches to adjust in a short time.Forcing the extension of the time to end the game at the late game, and some of the originally very supermodel civs were still not effectively adjusted, but created a new strong lamer civ

Mangos have a resistance of 85% vs ranged units, not siege. The bombard in 3 shots destroys 1 mangonel.

Regarding the aesthetics of a bombard not killing a villager, it is true that it can be strange.

bombard vs enemy protected siege solved or at least greatly alleviated the problem I was experiencing with siege. Thanks for the tip.
