We absolutely need something like this. I don’t know if this will solve the problem entirely though. However, this line of thought is really needed right now. Big changes are needed.
They change it because of sc pros, that’s the problem when you take “pros” feedback for game play changes instead of just balance, they don’t contribute to a fun game since they play for money
Melee on archers was in multiplayer as well, (closed beta) I remember seeing some leak multiplayer videos… This game was design with this feature but later it was removed.
If this feature is reintroduced, I will think on playing the game back again, ( even with the abomination of Jean civilization)
And how do You know it? Or where did You get this info?
Like… it would make sense, to make game mechanically closer to Starcraft (where 90 % units have ranged attack), but I am sceptical, that Starcraft players have so much influence in reality.

I played where it was a thing in multiplayer. For me I think it worked quite well, as ranged had to be cautious about cavalry and infantry getting close. Also having a meat shield was more necessary, I don’t think it was a bother at all tbh. I could see how it would get more complex to balance though.
But anyways it was changed a couple of tests later and this was purely multiplayer and not campaign so I’m making myself super clear.
Themed UI is way less important though!
Better they could fix the input lag this time
