[Poll](Updated) Which civs would you like to see in the game? (All popularly requested civs included)

i think it will be able to attack too
if the enemy is too close
a monk that can defend themselves
maybe also available to both Iroquois and Mississippians

But there will be that possibility. From one unit, bring together the three properties: heal, convert and attack? in Age of empires 2.

Why do you replace Eagle Warriors?

not replace, im giving a different unit to north american civs

I don’t see any problem with North American Eagle Warriors after Incan Eagles

i know, which is why people have to add more south american civs for a valuable reason to make another unit, incas already have two unique units, since im working on Iroquois right now, im focusing on them, if i do machupe or another SA civ, then ill change the scout
but anyways eagle warrior are the current aoe2 symbol of latin america, it has almost no appliance to north america

Tomahawk was uniquely an Iroquois throwing axe, so only the Iroquois should get them.

Trackers are a good idea, but should be entirely their own unit, and more analogous to a Scout-Cav Archer mix, but from the Archery Range, and with lower attack than Archers, but much faster.

I would suggest making the Tomahawk the Iroquois UU and give it a decent bonus vs Cavalry, but also give the Iroquois just Spearmen to compensate.
This would also make the Tomahawk different to the Gbeto and Throwing Axeman, as a bonus, and justify their existance and why the Iroquois should train them.

Tracker should be a more common unit to all North-Am civs, that replace the Eagle Scout, and are trained at the Archery Range.
Their line should be something like this:

Tracker - Tracker Brave - Elite Tracker.

Yet it is entirely assossiated with the Haudenosaunee League, of which tribes compose the Iroquois.

I still do support that you should only start with one Tracker, and taht even if they become a Regional Unit that upgrades into Tomahawk, they should be fast and anti-Cavalry, to distinguish for the Gbetos and TAs.

Mantlets were used everywhere in the world, and are not analogous to any Native American people. It was just a huge wooden shield pushed by Infantry to protect them as they approached Walls.

The Ram already serves the purpose of the Mantlet in AoE2.

A mantlet was a large shield or portable shelter used for stopping projectiles in medieval warfare. It could be mounted on a wheeled carriage, and protected one or several soldiers.

In the First World War a mantlet type of device was used by the French to attack barbed wire entanglements.[1]

The point is that having 3 of them gives a pop disadvantage, and a military advantage, encouraging Drushing with 3 Trackers and 3 Militia.

true, but the trackers being how slow they are may not be able to find the enemy quick enough, should i nerf their speed?

the mantlet will be a bit different than the ram
they will be faster too

They would still provide pop-block, and a military advantage. North-Am civs would be Drush proof, with 3 extra units to defend, for example.

The function is already covered by the Ram, however. Mantlets are not even a culturally unique unit.

They are only iconic in AoE3, and the Huron (also part of the Iroquois) also had them. It was a way of giving Natives Siege, wihout giving them 2 types of Cannons.

In reality, Iroquois were not known for extensive use of Mantlets.

the mantelete unit, could be the same as the concept given by the mod Age of empires 2: american world - hybrid unit between siege and infantry (thus receiving all available updates from both infantry and siege units). In addition to being a ranged weapon (differentiating from the ram), throwing axes (hence a semi-distant attack unit and not an archer unit). To differentiate from Escorpion (having a bonus attack against some other type of unit - be it archers, or cavalry, or siege units, or infantry).

@JonOli12 im going to incorporate mantlet as a unique tech that affects the ram, im not sure about making the three tracker nerfed or not, but instead of upgrading to a tomahawk, its called a warcheif, saving the tomahawk for the UU

also @EdgarSamuelON the warrior priest will probably use that name, but the unique tech that unlocks the upgrade could be called a shaman

before i complete my Iroquois tech tree, i need to share several unit concepts, so i can get feedback, starting with the tracker (thank you for the name and general idea @JonOli12)
using power point and the age of empires fandom, i put pictures to give you a rough idea of how they work

North American (not meso-american) civs get trackers to scout, they move as fast as a swordsmen with squires, have the LOS of a scout cavalry, and can beat a scout cavalry or eagle warrior in a fight (however those units can easily runaway) to make up for their slow scouting speed, you get three when the game starts, they can be created from the barracks in feudal age and their upgrades are as the image shows, should there be an elite Warcheif?
any feedback or suggestions?

Initially native americans used horses for raiding, they would ride to the enemy and dismount fight and flee back on horses. Not a full cavalry force during games time period.

Not in the Middle Ages, when they had absolutely no Horses whatsoever.

True but there can be some creative liberty when designing a civi.

Not in this case, not at all, and I would oppose it.

This game is about Medieval civilizations, not Colonial Period versions of them.
