[Poll](Updated) Which civs would you like to see in the game? (All popularly requested civs included)

I actually agree with this, the Indian subcontinent should be compared to the entirety of Europe. Considering the fact that India had more population (like, 20% more?) than Europe throughout the period, but with less land, I think it is alright. They were generally more advanced and more influential to nearby regions (Southeast Asia, and the larger sphere of Buddhism and Hinduism) too, without ever being (semi-)unified like the (Han/Tang) Chinese or grouped up like (some of) the Europeans under the Roman administration. In any case, we see one of the greatest diversity of religion there (atheistic, adeistic, monotheistic, polytheistic etc.), which IMO reflects the degree of diversity and disunity that one would expect from the number of people living there without the concept of nationalism.

Do you suggest we give more civs to Africa to match or exceed Europe then? Or even modern Russia and central Asia that is now only covered by the Mongols? Or the Americas? Or China? Do you think large, sparsely-populated regions deserve more civs than smaller densely-populated ones?

The only argument that I can see being forwarded is an argument based on geography. But then, if someone was to argue along this line, wouldn’t that mean we need to break the Chinese into almost as much civs as Europeans? This is not to mention the Africans and etc. that was mentioned above.

Would you care to educate me on the logical workings behind your comparisons?

Let’s leave all the penile size comparisons alone. If there’s another Slavic civilization, what bonus would be added and what would the UU be?

Depends on which one it is. Bohemia will probably feature a Wagenburg of some sort, Poland, if it should be added, will probably have something in relation to cavalry,…

They don’t know what they are talking about.
Indosphere is not only India. Indosphere: Afghanistan, Tibet, Southeast Asia, Phillipines, South China.

Maybe a unique unit that has range like the steppe lancer that is a glass cannon. High attack, speed but less armor, health?

I’d say a new DLC focused on India should include:

  1. Bengals (elephant, trade civ)
  2. Dravidians (navy, infantry)
  3. Afghans (cavarly)
  4. Pratihara (infantry, elephant)
  5. Rename the existing Indians to Mughals.

The Elephant Archer should become a regional unit. Mughals should have their UU replaced by a bombard cannon elephant (shorter range, slightly faster and lots of hp).

I proposed this like 2 weeks ago:

Gusar (irregular light cavalry shock troops, forerunners to hussars),
Vlastela (unique heavy cavalry with high attack but less armor and more speed),
Buzdovaner (heavy infantry which commonly used flanged mace Pernach or Å estoper/Shestopyor somewhat was).
Sagena (it carried around 40 men) - Sagena ship was used by Serbian Adriatic pirates (9th-11th century) known as Pagania or Narentines pirates, their leader had a title Judge.

Wonder can be Fortress-Monastery unique to Serbian architectural style such as Monastery Manasija surrounded by high walls (Moravian style)

Slava: Units very resistant to enemy monk conversion (Castle Age)
Popovski Bir: Monasteries generate food (Imperial Age)

Villagers gain +3 melee attack in Feudal Age
Cavalry do +15% damage while elevated
Archer cost 50% less wood
Gold mines last 20% longer

Team Bonus: Light Cavalry +10 HP

Thanks to @DarthPyro4335 for bonus suggestions

I would lose 3. Afghans (cavarly) and maybe 1. Bengals (elephant, trade civ)
Other suggestions sound good

Between 3-5 Indian civs seems reasonable. More would be kinda excessive in my honest opinion.

smart devs gonna ad 1 extra indians if at all

1 to 3 would be enough for india region(without clashing with the term indians).

The Byzantine empire consisted of Greece, Italy,Bulgaria,Albainia, Lydia, the Levant and north Africa.
They were a mix of Medi, ME and NAfrican peoples… they did fight against the slavs to the north, but they never conquered any lands in EU apart form Bulgaria. So they are not and EU civ.

More a Medi / ME mix.

Polish

Cavalry civ
Eastern European Architecture

UU- Winged Hussaria (if we can have a turtle ship in game then a winged Hus can work as well, although another heavy can name can be given instead)
They are a beautiful unit which will just add to estetics, perhaps they can lose the wings on the Magyar Hus.

Fast,Strong but expensive cav.
Only average HP and armour. (Strengthened by Panceri)

Unique tech 1 - Pancerni - cavalry gain +1 Melee armour and provides the option to create Imperial Hussar in stable.
Unique tech 2 - Voivode - sword Infantry + 2 LOS

Gatekeeping a whole subcontinent in regards to civs FeelsBadMan

I don’t want the game to turn into Age of India either but come on, one civ doesn’t do it justice.

You like to complain about Slavs, I like to complain about Indians, we’re not that different.

Not really. They are as Eastern European as all the other Balkan civs and their presence in western europe is short lived

Thats a knight. Also a unit called Winged Husssaria without wings is stupid

Having two hussar UUs is pointless. Also Teutons get the melee armour for free

The most pointless UT ever. Lets just copy tracking the most useless tech ever and see what happens.
