Traitor feels more like an Age 2 god power than an Age 3 god power.
Maybe one possible solution is to switch it with one of the Age 2 god powers (Valor, Spider Lair, Carnivora), and make that god power more powerful.

Tartarian Gate feels too weak for an Age 4 power.

Traitor really annoys me. It should do unit team swap and heal the unit to full. Swapping out an enemy unit for the ā€˜same’ unit is such bad programming. They lose all their upgrades and end up being weak as hell. Probably one of my top picks for the worst powers overall. Very underwhelming.

Oh that’s a really good idea. A great opportunity to fix two of the weakest god powers. Make traitor classical age, move spider lair to heroic and change it so that after insta-killing, the spider stays around to fight more…as well as creating like 8 spiders instead of 3.

If traitor becomes classic, it should add ramp-up cost because later it can turn the tide easily by targeting a giant or Fafnir. Then you should also make it not an complete upgrade to Zeus’s lightning. Spider eggs needs to be able to target heroes and mythic units to be remotely viable. I supports its full removal.

Traitor would be so much better if it was a direct team swap, the unit didn’t lose its upgrades and was fully healed. Just bad programming making this power suck.

Spider eggs insta killing myth units as a classic age God power would be too strong. Losing a hoplite/murmillo, etc is nothing to just instantly loosing a sphinx/mino/valk. For heroes i would agree if they had a ā€œtierā€ in God power protection, because it killing a priest, a hersir or an atty hero is one thing, but imagine it being able to kill greek heroes or SoO.

Yea it should heal the unit and at least keep the upgrade the opponent had, specially now that god powers are reusable traitor feels underwhelming, specially since its competition is chaos and Hesp tree. Playing atty and going rea is in spite of traitor rather than because of.

None of them are bad, not even spider lair, it gives vision and has the potential to be extremely strong, it just requires smart use and planning and doesn’t have an immediate pay off.

It not that its bad by its own (i mean all Gps are always a bonus) but when comparing to its competition they do feel a bit lackluster imo. Spider lair vs valor (getting heroes, in army, boosting eco or saving units since it heals them, cheap and spamable) or carnivora (a tc deny, a great early fight utility and a defensive mechanism).

Traitor vs chaos (which was so good it got nerfed several times) and Hesp Tree (Free pop army units that cost now wood instead of gold, so even more spamabble, specially since its now 5+ per tree and not 5 overall.
