Though i’ve voted french, I feel that some civs should just be buffed instead.

Plus currently it seems there isn’t a definitive counter to mass knights which is what makes the french feel a bit overpowered rn.

One would think a mixture of spearmen and springalds would do well.

Although I think the Mongols are fine, they should do something about the early TC dropping into the opponent’s face.

Another problem with the French is that they have access to Knights in the feudal age.

I’m aware of the Mongol TC drop. A quick fix to this mechanic would do the job, though I wouldn’t really call it a nerf.

Yeah it’s not a nerf, just fixing something that’s rather annoying.

They are the best civ currently.
But the solution imo shouldn’t be to drag them down.
For example the Dehli sultanate and Chinese are doing pretty badly rn and buffing other civs in general might be healthier.

I agree with this for the most part. People get angry at nerfs, which I understand. But the game was just released, and I imagine that people wouldn’t be too mad if their main civ was nerfed. It also might be easier to nerf 2 civs, rather than buffing 6 civs. (this is my only concern)

Balance is a complex question and we will see how the devs react.
