[Polling] Secret DLC bonus: bug or feature

Agree with that it favors melee units.
But at least it is consistant.

For micro we have someissues:

A) Everybody microes different and is differently consistant in the execution.

B) Micro only applies when somebody actually microes. And whilst it should be the goal of everybody to be able to micro at any given moment necessary, it’s hardly practiacally achievable.

But what the vids of mike provide (Though I actually liked the ones of agearena more, especially the ones against “common” units): They give you an idea what to expect from your units when you don’t pay attentiion.
And imo this is even more important to know than when you pay attention, cause this experience you get on your own when playing.

Champion Description

All-purpose infantry unit. Strong vs. buildings and infantry. Weak vs. archers at long range.

Legionary Description

Roman unique infantry unit. Strong vs. buildings and infantry. Weak vs. archers at long range.

Both are described as strong vs. infantry, yet only the Legionaries possess a unique +4 Infantry bonus. Thus, I perceive it as a “secret bonus for DLC”, akin to the Urumi’s area of effect (AOE) charge damage and the Coustillier’s double damage against cavalry archers.

However, the Coustillier’s bonus is so overpowering that it’s typically viewed as a bug, whereas the Urumi, despite their relative weakness, have their characteristic deemed a feature. According to this discourse, I posit that the Legionaries’ +4 hidden bonus damage could be accepted as a feature. Perhaps in the future, this +4 hidden bonus might even be shared by generic champions, enriching the dynamics of the gameplay.

All Calvary Archers have a bonus damage against Spear Line. Why don’t elephant archers have it. They cannot escape them like cavalry archers and take bigger bonus damage. Is this is a bug or a feature?

It’s a feature. Spears are the biggest counter to elephants, aside from Monks.

Also Ratha. It doesn’t make any sense.
