Case in point: Playing Egyptian into Poseidon. 0 chances mid too late unless the other player is WAY worse.
I know that some people on the forum will instanly say “this is fine” git gud, but bs, just pure bs, Poseidon is not fit for ranked.
Free Militia are incredibly strong, especially lategame.
Actually Poseidon’s late game is so insane it’s nonsense. Free units, Area damage that bascially counters everything, a hero that can take on entire armies, free ressources, best economy in the game, siege units that just don’t die…
Looking at replays of people winning the match up can help see what you can copy about it to do better on it.
One one hand saying “get gud” does sound easy, on the other, match up only becomes the main factor deciding a game at the very top imo. Otherwise theres plenty of other mistakes and calls that dictate which side wins.

Hes tanky, but hes not out dpsing armies.
Like any other civ to most extents? Rain, Prosperity, pharaoh empowering, etc, to keep it with eggy.
I know some of this is just flavorful exaggeration, but still, this is not the case.
The only problem I have as Eggy vs possi is centaur+hippeus spam. can be kind of rough But I think a seasoned eggy main would be able to tackle this with camel riders.
