Potential new AI personalities

This would also get around the issue of not being able to have multiples of the same AI civs because you can have duplicate personalities.

AgustĂn de Iturbide may be a good candidate too.
Why Santa Anna, the “uncrowned monarch”, would be hilarious?

Lincoln is certainly a good choice, with world-renowned popularity and achievements.
I personally would like to see Benjamin Franklin. He may be an AI personality who values technology researching.

Look forward to the unique dialogue when Quautemoc and he are in the same game.

The devs can sell AI personalities other than the defaults as DLC.

You mean like Prince Henry?

Emperors, Kings, Princes - simply rulers from civilizations.

In the case of the Maltese civ, I think there should be Masters of the Order of St. John.

Simply put, if a given civ has a ruler, let him get them in the future. If it has a president, it’s the same. E.T.C.

Henry was never crowned. There’s a reason why he’s called Prince and not King or Emperor.

Clearly Garibaldi was never crowned too.
Strictly speaking, neither did Tokugawa Ieyasu. No one from samurai clans, including the Tokugawa clan.

Oh, and Hidalgo was never president and died before Mexico actually achieved independence

So that’s at least four leaders that break Muty’s requirements

I noticed a problem. Because the current flag of the Japanese is the emblem of the Tokugawa clan, leaders who do not belong to the Tokugawa are not suitable, such as Oda ######## and Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and even Emperor Meiji.

The Japanese civilization should be changed its flag first. Let the current flag only serve the campaign, and as a custom item for Home City like the Venetian flag for the Italians.

I’m gonna repeat a previous comment from myself on reddit:

Like any self-respecting Mexican, I have a nice hatred for Antonio LĂłpez de Santa-Anna, but I know he would make a great AI personality for Mexico.

You see, this man fought in every war in ######### both sides each!—until he was kicked out of the country, and even abroad he managed to influence another.

He fought on the side of Spain in the War of Independence, and then for Mexico, and then for the Empire, and then for the Republic, and for Federalism and then for Centralism, and then for the Liberals and the Conservatives, blah, blah , blah.

It must be recognized, however, that he defeated the Spanish in the reconquest attempt, that he also emptied the Alamo, that he lost a leg fighting the French, among other things.

As an AI, Santa-Anna is as unpredictable as he was in life. He will emphasize a healthy army of soldiers and dragons, but you can expect anything from him. He will attack early because he can, or he will wait until he has the strength. He will lead surprise attacks while he fortifies the base. You will see desperados next to soldiers, artillery led by a priest.

From this man you can expect him to wipe out his own villagers, to destroy his own trading posts. He is not crazy, but he is close.

I agree
maybe they will do it in an Asian DLC to place alternative flags in the Home City (Japanese imperial flag, Ming flag for the Chinese and Maratha flag for the Indians)

Isn’t he a Shawnee? Are they related to Hauds?

No, they were Algonquins, but they were conquered by the Hauds in the 1670s

Oda ################### The most famous daimyo gets censored. Such a shame.

What I hope is the Japanese flag can be changed to the hinomaru flag officially, and let the current Tokugawa flag be the Home City customization.

British

Cromwell - would be very authoritarian and ruthless. Dictator in charge of the one time the British isles were under a Commonwealth republic.

George III - The ‘mad’ King George. Personality could be rather spontaneous and extravagant

And that is one of the protagonists of Kyoto

That seems fine to me

For Ethiopians, idk if someone already suggested him, but there could be Menelik II (the guy from Civ 6).

For potential future civs, I think the obvious choice would be Pedro II, though I’m personally not big on monarchy. But given the Mexicans get Hidalgo instead of someone who lived to see independent Mexico, I think an official Brazilian civ might also get the original leader from The Warchiefs (JosĂ© BonifĂĄcio). And I don’t know much about Persians of this time, so I can only think of Nader Shah (also discovered him through Civ6)

That’s such an extremely random and baseless speculation.

Do you legitimately believe Brazil wouldn’t be led by Pedro II?

Pedro 2. ruled from 1831-1889 it is really hard to see how you even could find someone else to represent brazil in the game.

Honestly? No.

But again, Hidalgo didn’t lead Mexico at all irl, if you don’t count being involved in the revolution obviously.

A little late (1889-1913), but it works the same

Or Abbas the Great (who was a contemporary of Akbar)

Pedro II is AI leader in Wars of Liberty
