Exactly as the title says, what are your predictions for the next dlc later in 2026?

On steamdb you can see there is definitely a hidden dlc in there, so what would you like and what do you think they will actually do?

Will it be chronicles part 3? Or another experiment?

Chronicles part 3 could be released in mid 2026

While AoE2 client DLC could be released for late 2026 with a Balkan DLC (Serbs, Vlach) or an African DLC.

Most likely a Chronicles DLC sometime between summer and autumn.

I’d like to see more Japanese history that isn’t historical battles, early sengoku period although the latter part with oda clan is my favourite but that fits more aoe 3

Unsure at least for this year. We already have Tupis and Mapuches. Maybe for 2027 Sioux and Iroquis could have their own DLC

I don’t think Microsoft have any plan for more DLC this year. If anything, there could be another experiment like AoE3 in AoE2 or at best a campaign DLC (not V&V2 with single scenario missions).

Can’t remember seeing it before, I can’t imagine they will go the rest of 2026 without another one without people thinking they are ending support

Hopefully not, I hate how things get skipped there while hoping Diadochi wars with a renewed Pyrrhus will be a thing instead of jumping straight into Romans.

They should really add the rest of the campaigns to ROR first

Haven’t played chronicles yet but it’s said there was strong suggestions there will be another

I like the idea of ​​a Balkan DLC. I think Basques, Alans, Vandals are also a good idea.

I have a hunch we’ll get a Chronicles DLC midyear and a main game DLC late in the year like you say, but I think that this year’s general theme is going to be American, and so I think a Meso dlc, or if they are feeling daring a North American (like USA/Canada/Caribbean area) DLC.

Though I would like both Balkan and African DLC like you mention, and I wouldn’t be suprised if they hit Africa in 2027.

It’s always been 2 DLCs a year. We’re going to get Chronicles pt3, as they alternate.

Eh, I mean its possible but given how early in the year Last Chieftains is coming out, and the fact that Chronicles is a different team, makes me think its possible we get both Chronicles and another mainline DLC. We’ll see, you could be right, but i’m not convinced that what i’m saying is outside of the realm of possibility. If Last Chieftains was releasing in April or May, i’d be more on board with what you’re saying. but we’ll see.
