Problem with new waypoint feature for buildings in the latest patch

As someone who uses shift + key to select all buildings (shift + q for all town centers, shift + a for all ranges etc.) I don’t appreciate this feature. I find myself setting waypoints for created units when my intention is to overwrite the previous waypoint. I guess this is a skill issue on my side that can be fixed by relearning years of muscle memory by changing my hotkeys or learning to not hold shift when setting gather points, but even then I feel like its still easy to accidentally set waypoints in intense situations because you have to hold shift to queue more than 1 unit at a time.

I never cared to have such a feature and I will probably never use it , and much rather have qol like being able to set gather points for unfinished buildings or holding ctrl + click to select all units of the same type instead of double clicking. Casual players probably appreciate this feature and that’s cool. But, at higher elos the game can be very intense and this feature that’s supposed to be a qol just ends up being annoying. I’m sure I’m not the only one with this problem and I hope we get an option to disable this.

This! this is the problem in my games at the moment! its infuriating, like why are my units running all over the place???
Any tips on how to mitigate this?

Unfortunately the only way is to stop holding shift when setting gather points, which for me was a bad habit that I couldn’t fix. So, I had to remove the shift key from all my building selection hotkeys. That actually fixed it completely and its actually easier to play the game this way. Took me like 4 days to adjust but it was worth it.
