Most aoe players are betwen the ages of 20-30 so its really nonsense forcing this on us without having the option to turn it off … besides, nobody wants it

Pretty sure some people wanted it, otherwise FE wouldn’t add it.
I think they were forced to do it.
I haven’t tried it yet, but as long as it’s not broken, I’m gonna let it slide until they decide to change it to an option.

Yes, it is beneficial to streamers. But that’s pretty much it.
Considering I heard (I’m not sure about it) this was optional in the beta, they probably were forced to add it and make it not optional.
There wasn’t any censoring in beta (optional or not).

No, there’s still a censor on steam (although not quite as stupid). And while they have mostly fixed the filter, my main problem with it is it’s pointless because the report button is there for a reason.

There was no profanity filter or its option in beta.

I’ll guess we’re all annoyed by the language filter which is currently used. I mean, it’s quite common that “bad” words are beeped out but censoring abbreviations like “bbc” is a bit over the top.
My suggestion is to add a switch whenever you want to have the filter, or not.
Well, yeah, a personal option is really a good idea.
Well, you know, it does have a different meaning in non-AOE2 language.
But how is a profanity system gonna find out if it’s referring to Bombard Cannons or no?
That is also the weird thing about the filter and report feature.
But I sense that FE was forced to do it. But they should make it a user option.

After one game on nomad where he just puts is TC next to me, i just killed his TC because i was persians, i wanna talk about the persian douche strategy. It was unknown to him. For some reason you cant say something about persian douche. It will **** **** ****** ***** all over the place… This makes no sense.

My TC was already build when i start buildings his. He wasnt Persians. So he kinda dropped his non Persian TC on a Persian TC. In the end he said: I will ban nomad in future 1111
