Progress not synced on multiple devices causes achievements and portraits to not unlock

So, I’ve noticed that across my devices (I have AOE IV through game pass) the saves are not synced through the cloud as some other games. However, progress/portraits and some other infos are synced. Some funny business happens on the triggers for achievements and portrait unlocks, though.

To reproduce:

  • Play on PC 1
  • Play one mission of the campaign (in this case it happened on the Mongol campaign) to the end
  • Go back to PC 1, you are now on the next mission
  • Play through the campaign as usual
  • On the end I didn’t get the achievement for the campaign or the portrait unlock

I’m guessing playing the mission I played on PC2 on PC1 will unlock it, but haven’t tried yet.

Hey @tiagojlC!

There’s an unfortunate known issue where loading a mission may cause Masteries and Achievements to not unlock as they should. I’m guessing that’s what you’re experiencing here. The dev team is aware.

Thanks for the reply. Just wanted to report that I’ve retried the last mission back to back and also tried to complete the mission I did on PC2 back on PC1, but neither have worked to trigger the unlocks.

Hopefully it gets fixed!

Hey there,

Just a final update on this! After doing the mission from PC2 back on PC1 AND doing the last mission of the campaign again, the achievements and profile pics popped! I don’t know if that made a difference but I also lowered the difficulty to do it faster this time around.
