The name of the capitol technology “Spies” should be changed to “Espionage” for one simple reason: to avoid confusion with the spy unit generally available to European civilizations in age II at the church. I think it may be especially confusing for new players who are advised to “get spies” only to produce spy units when their teammates meant for them to get the tech from the capitol.

That’s just one situation where there could be confusion but in general the use of the same term to apply to two different things is confusing and unnecessary, especially where it could be easily avoided, as in this case.
