low key dont mind deccan coming into the map pool. under no circumstances should Horn be contemplated as a standard map. you physically cant see the cliffs at a certain camera height, assuming no camera rotation. but also spawning with a boat that can take water treasure, take and be immune to land treasure and ferry shit to islands etc is just way too far from standard to be standard. also defensive sea trading routes etc

This is amazing. Why did the ottomans not recieve serious nerfs? Why were azaps buffed? Why did they nerf Inca, a low-tier civ? Why did they nerf walls yet again? Why did they murder Indonesia and Chile? The balance team really dropped the ball this time around.

Is the Argentine revolution with Italy supposed to get less Elmetti than the rest and for the same price? this is unfair!. :slightly_frowning_face:

They could make this card Consular Garrochistas and allow them to be trained instead of just giving us Lancers.

Italian Mercenary Contract

Send 10 Elmetto, 3 Li’l Bombard and allow these units to be trained from Lombardos and Bares; cost 1500 of each resource.

Military Agricultural Colony

Send 15 Redshirts; Each house spawns one Redshirts every 60 seconds; cost 1500 of food.

Okay, but I just learned that some somewhat random cavalry units were considered siege units:
-Mongol Scout
-Raider
-Steppe rider
-Tashunke Prowler

It’s quite counterintuitive to see the infantry mortar having a bonus against these units.
For the rest, why not. We keep to the “coulevrine logic” for eliminating anti-building troops.
But against some cavalry units, normally used to counter artillery it’s really strange ^^’

I don’t understand why these riders have this tag. They have a fairly standard siege attack value.
Perhaps to be countered with Militiamen? Sounds like a bit of an improvised solution to me.

Probably need a “Siege Cavalry” tag. MM can have bonuses vs both Siege Units and Siege Cav, mortars and Culvs can have no bonuses vs Siege Cav.

It’s kinda important that MM counter steppes, raiders and Oppris

99% of the function of the siege unit tag is to be able to shrug off building damage (buildings only do half damage to them). That’s why all these cavalry units and ships have the tag since it helps them counter buildings.

Militia units are a last resort defense for buildings and have few other multipliers that conflict so it makes sense for them to have a multi against these units. Adding it to anything with more complex multipliers that can interact multiplicativly is a very dangerous game that has obviously not been well thought out.

I’m not sure that Lakota girl would have any objection to a card called Buffalo but only valid for Estates. But I personally have no problem with it anyway, it’s just that the question comes back to this.

We want to make sure that its effects don’t stack with Team Rum. If you send it, the ally’s Team Rum cannot be sent, and vice versa.

I As someone who knows Japanese, I pointed this out a long time ago.
The Japanese haven’t called their Sengoku period artillery Morutaru at all.
It’s not even a translation since morutaru means just masonry mortar in Japanese in the first place.
In Japanese, the weapon mortar would be literally called “hakugeki-hou”, which is not even a transliteration.

This is obviously just another update that doesn’t rename Morutaru, nor rename Hokkaido, nor change the sacred cow to Zebu, nor change the Aztec livestock into turkeys, nor allow the Japanese to obtain the sacred animals of their traditional religion without having to rely on Europeans.

I don’t mind samurai using grenade-launchers-like odzutsu, at least it’s a thing somehow reflecting history.
Originally this card was just a card that stole Morutaru’s potential new name, but this change greatly enhances the card’s own meaning.
Maybe this card should have a cost, maybe 500 coins, and also make the samurai more expensive.

Samurai already get more expensive with sword saint, if they get mortars it should be balanced another way.

Training takes longer? At that time, Japan’s sources of gunpowder were almost all imported, which meant that preparing an army to use gunpowder required not only money but also time.

Train time wouldn’t effect it enough unless it was immense.

The actual reason is defensive, towers do x0.5 to siege units so these units take less damage from tower fire

For the raider and steppe rider Their siege per pop is double that of standard cav. For a 1 pop comparison the cossack only has 15 siege while the raiders have 66% more siege

siege unit should never have been treated as a place in the counter system for anything but buildings and minute men. this is why.

Recent balance patches obvious show that dev balance team doesn’t really care about balance.

Toma with WC aura is weaker than musk still get a nerf.

Huaraca don’t have enough range to do anti-artillery still get a range nerf.

Previous British was strong in team but balance in 1v1, they nerf most part in 1v1.
Previous Aztec was strong in 1v1 but trash in team, they nerf most part in team.

From last patch they added heavy tag to AR I thought this was amazing already, but this time they are even getting crazier.

Important request

Can we revert the behavior of attack move and attack command as it was in legacy?
At the moment units walk to point after killing opponent units. That is completely misfunctional and annoying even. You look away for a second after attack moving and you find your units 20 tiles away from where you left them.

The “Quiche” Card’s icon is nothing new. It still uses the same icon as the Italians’ “Pizza” Card.
