I wonder if it makes sense to research the last ranged damage tech. The last level of ranged damage increases it by +1. For example, such a handcannoner has such damage 42.Is it worth the trouble and materials?? Or is it about some scaling? 1 damage of 42 is 0,02% change…
It doesn’t matter that much for Handcannoneers.
The university tech that adds +20% dmg to gunpowder units is far more significant.
This tech is mostly an improvement to archers/crossbowmen.
Also most of the time handcannoneers are too expensive to field so having more dmg for archers/crossbowmen is still relevant.
Yes ranged damage tech is worth because your keeps, cav archers, archers become stronger. Not so important for crossbows and for handcannoneers you want to take chemistry.
You know, Hand cannon isn’t affected by that tech
“all non-siege units and buildings” It 100% should affect handcannons based on the description
You are welcome to make a test, it’s easy
you’re right… they’re “ranged gunpowder” units, and do “ranged” damage so that’s a pretty deceiving description…
1/42 is ~0.02, so it’s 2%, not 0.02%.
I think so. +1 attack with 30 handcannons mean 30 extra damage every time that group shoots.
you almost always are overkilling targets with HC, so giving them +1 or even +3 damage is really a non factor, people are being pedantic about something that will hardly affect the game, there’s dozens of things more important than this
