:arrow_forward: ISSUE EXPERIENCED

Ranged units with minimum range (e.g. Scorpion-line, Organ Gun) in Stand Ground stance are stubborn in their current target, even after that target enters the minimum range.

Players need to manually task them a new target, or wait until the current target somehow dies, so the unit will finally attack a new target (if there is any).

The famous tactic of “Setting a group of Scorpions / Organ Guns in a Stand Ground stance during melee combat so they can keep shooting instead of running” is no longer possible due to this bug. The units are basically freezing once the enemy melee unit gets close as they’re still targeting the enemy unit who now within their minimum range.

Footage of my testing scenario is posted below in the recording section.

  1. Create a blank scenario or play a standard game
  2. Get some Scorpions / Organ Guns
  3. Fight the enemy army in Stand Ground stance

Units should not keep targeting if the current target enters its minimum range, and attack a new target, if there is any.

Here are 2 videos of how Organ Gun and Scorpions fought in close range when in Stand Ground stance before this bug. (Sorry I couldn’t find any DE footage that was obvious enough)

Footage of my testing scenario: (Sorry the video is soundless due to setting mistake during record)

Both Scorpions and Organ Gun are able to attack the Crossbowmans or Knights who are outside the minimum range, but some / all of them do nothing until I task them manually.

The scenario used is here: (please note that Player 2 uses Immobile AI)
