Ranked Team Matchmaking is actually a joke at this point

The state of Ranked is alarming… in matchmaking alone.

Have they completely abandoned this game?
Do they have like 2 employees working on virtually meaningless things like “Enchanted Forest” and “Villager Appreciation” - I didn’t realize AOE4 was turning into a Mobile phone game haha. Come on, devs!

We need:

  • Balance to matchmaking (no more than two levels higher or lower), if not we wait. Ppl are just leaving anyways now to counter this, making the issue even worse.
  • A proper report system for cheaters - you’re not dealing with map hacks
  • There is still a persistant sync bugg where your opponenets connection drops and you lose for some reason?
  • And more CONTENT, not in the form of cartoon villager portraits or enchanted white stags blinding your eyes out on fluorescent purple neon lit maps… we need FACTIONS, MAPS, NEW UNITS.

This game has MEGA potential at being one of the best RTS games ever… but it literally is getting the most piss-poor care and attention to competitive play and new content.

I’m baffled devs, just baffled at the state of the game 2 years in.

This happens when the games a year behind where it should be. It should of already had the xbox console release and dlc by now. Sorry we made a new game and add better support for our older games. Wonder why microsoft never have games at the top of steam charts

Who knows whos making aoe4 content these days, relic, microsoft ? Most of whats been added in the last year should of been in the release or very soon after the release. Instead of losing 80% of the player base, would of been a lot less.

Theres no point in having rank and quickmatch, it splits the players for the same type of vs mode. Only have rank. Quickmatch should be for different game modes like nomad

I agree… the lack of content has definitely contributed to the player base waning… but I honestly feel like the small issues of multiplayer and ranked in the beginning is what turned so many off.

It’s really such a shame… this game could win so many over from the Age2 and Age3 crowd but it’s soo bare bones for content.
