Simple really as the title suggests. A call for the Devs to release the patch notes ahead of time. Releasing say a week early gives a chance for the community to have a review and provide CONSTRUCTIVE feedback with the expectations this will be taken onboard and any vehemently opposed changes scrapped, and potentially other changes omitted added in time depending.
I feel the devs started the AOMR progression well; it appeared many of our community concerns were listened to and dealt with. It appeared feedback was taken onboard and the discussion threads read. This appears to have dipped off this year. Now, we could be wrong, but perhaps opening that dialogue again through early information release for constructive feedback will re-establish that bond of trust between dev and player.
Agreed. Same as allowing early beta testing for feedback. I feel like they are making too many decisions without considering the people who support the game. I know we aren’t going to agree on everything as a community, but the glaringly obvious community consensus should be implemented.
And on a related note, they definitely need to pay more attention to the bugs we are reporting. So many bugs reports from launch two years ago were acknowledge but still exsist.
Apparently, the team that worked on Freyr, Chinese and Japanese appears to have been different from the team that worked on the Demeter DLC, based on LinkedIn posts and videos from various YouTube streamers.
Forgotten Empires might no longer be working on the game, while CaptureAge appears to be handling many of the more questionable decisions.
So there aren’t high expectations for the Aztecs, the goal seems to be cutting costs as much as possible, and this is becoming increasingly evident.
A week would not be enough time to redo aspects of any patch, retest, update localisation, go through third party verification, and translate any patch notes, etc.
Early previews would be a good idea though. But just dumping the patch notes early wouldn’t help changes to get made.
