Remove Khmer

The Khmer, like the Romans, are too powerful in team games. This is a request to either make the castle troop 5 times more expensive or remove this civilization.

Why dont YOU pick them, then. Have your ā€œfree winā€ ĀÆ_(惄)_/ĀÆ

Iā€™m too bad to know how to play it. I donā€™t even know how to do a fast castle. ĀæHow am I supposed to win againts that civ? The thing is that for low players like me, Khmer is to powerfull in a team game.

BBC or Onagers+halbs do the job.
Celts, Slavs and Bulgarians are great for that, all have bonus for SIege and Infantry. Place your halbs around or siege units and shoot elephants down with Siege Onagers. Take buildings down with Siege Ram. Halbs will keep cavalry away from your siege, SO will destroy elephants and archers. Siege Ram will destroy buildings.

I was gonna say exactly the same thing

This time, heā€™s luckily not.

Iā€™m surprised. When Gargy spammed my Twitter account (I made the mistake of giving him my handle), one of the things he said was to not pick either the Georgians or the Khmer. Frankly, though, itā€™s probably because those are my two main civs, and not because he thinks theyā€™re OP or anything (if he did though, heā€™d be right).

Is funny you think that while pros donā€™t see Khmer too strong, outside of, maybe their Scorpions.

I wouldnā€™t compare pro scene to matchmade team games. Thereā€™s a ban on slinging before Imperial in tournament games for a reason. Khmer are certainly a good target for a sling in a teamgame, and with proper sling help, itā€™s not too hard to imagine some matchups where that might simply be too much.

Then is a sling problem, not so much on civs.

Iā€™m just saying that could be a very particular reason where they might think Khmer are too strong. Most civs do with sling, and this is an easy case of a specific set of options that feel oppressive if given a sling. Iā€™m not agreeing with the OP, I simply came in search of an argument.

OK, consider it done sir

You do realise a civ can be nerfed to adjust how strong it is, instead of being outright removed (which would also break some campaigns) ?

Donā€™t believe me ? Ever heard of the Teutonic Sniper Douche back from the oleā€™ CD version of AOK ?

Most current players were not even born back then id assume.

Then let them imagine the type of trickery one could try with 5 extra range on TCs. A turbocharged Persian Douche as your TC will stay in complete impunity.
