Resolution Resizing

Hello!

I play on a 4K monitor and everything is SUPER tiny. If I drop my resolution down to 1080 it looks gross and fuzzy.

Anyone have ideas on how to rescale the resolution so that it’s actually HD and the typeface/unites are readable/selectable?

Have you tried setting the resolution to 1440p? It’s the 16:9 sweet spot between 4K and 1080p.

You could adjust the scale settings of your monitor under the “video settings” tool on Windows 10.
Then, everything will be scaled up (even your gameplay).

My problem is the opposite. My computer’s max resolution is 1600x900, and it makes everything super large. Is there any way to zoom out so I can actually see what is going on?

The resolution of the game is tied to the set resolution of your monitor. Unfortunately there is currently no zoom feature in Age of Empires II: HD Edition.
