Well I know I am not into majority in this but Rise of Nations should make a come back as Rise of Nations definitive edition

AGREE! Fun game especially that world map game mode where i donā€™t remember the name ofšŸ˜‚ was fun

Yeah wht i really love about it was how we advanced from nothing to nuclear war nd there were so many possibilities moreover where we used to train infantries we got three infantries at the pop of one

But there has been no ā€œfull historyā€ RTS for decades.

Agreed. Rise of Nations would be a bigger success than many games of AoE franchise.

No thanks, for me. Liked RoN for a few days, but then didnt care for it. No desire to play ever again no matter the iteration.

The eras werenā€™t fun for me, and the spheres of influence werenā€™t my fav either

I hope thereā€™s a Rise of Nations Definitive Editionā€¦ or if Iā€™m dreaming too much, a Rise of Nations Retold (with graphics like those seen in Age of Mythology Retold)!!!

However, I have one extra request:

Age of Empires 1 and 2 (especially AoE 2), in their HD Remastered and Definitive Edition versions, brought a lot of new content, including new civilizations and even new Regional units.
Honestly, the only problem I see with Rise of Nations 1 was the lack of units in the evolutionary ages. There are many mods made for Rise of Nations that brought many new unique units, and Iā€™d like to see them in the game in its Definitive Edition or Retold version!

Example: Iā€™ve seen mods that added Spartan soldiers to the Greek civilization, or new tanks for the World War II period, or new helicopters, infantry, and so onā€¦

If a ā€œRetold versionā€ is made, then I would ask for a new age to be added to the game (just as they did with ā€œAge of Mythology Retoldā€, which added a new age). In the case of Rise of Nations, after the end of World War II, instead of going to the present day, it should go to a new age, called the ā€œCold Warā€ (which spans an average of 55 years, still in the 20th century), and then progress to the last age, which would refer to the 21st century and should have final research upgrades to unlock the latest technology (the final years of the present day).

In any case, I hope one day to see a Definitive Edition, or a Retold Version, or perhaps in the distant future, a Rise of Nations 2 with several improvements and new, more detailed unit classes to make the game more content-rich. But I still want to see improvements in both the Definitive Edition and the Retold, to have new units in the ages, and perhaps an extra age (Cold War).
