Road map for 2024 AoE 2?

The only civs that resembled the Indians civ umbrella (it’s about really big umbrella civs) spilit could be:

  1. Vikings
  2. Teutons
  3. Slavs
  4. Saracens
  5. Chinese
  6. Malians (if you consider it an umbrella for West Africa)

Teutons and Vikings aren’t even close:

The combined population of Germany and scandinavia is estimated to be around 4 million in 1000, and 11.5 million in 1340

compared to India:
40-75 million in 1000
80-100 million 13/1400

Were Chinese split enough during the (Euro) medieval period to warrant an split? As in, different states, at least

The point is that people call the addition of Jurchens and Tibetans civs as spilit of Chinese civ umbrella -
because they were more or less associated with China.

Roger.

I don’t know why they do this and at this point, I’m too afraid to ask. I don’t know how related Jurchens are related to Chinese, but wouldn’t it be equivalent to calling adding the Saxons a split of Persia because they are both IndoEuropeans?

DOI? It made elephants regional.

Rework the Chinese by giving them a new building set, gunpowder (balance them some other way) and a new unique unit. And add the Tibetans, Jurchens and Khitans. That would be a solid DLC right there. And give them a Tang Dynasty campaign and campaigns for the other three.

Can add inca to the list too as they represent everybody in south america.

If we consider the current indian civis those can also be split more mainly dravidians.

Yeah sorry, I got it wrong. I was trying to say Dynasties of India

Are Jurchens and Chinese that different?

Same as how mongols or tibetans differ from chinese.

A bit less than Mongols and Tibetans because they were more influenced by the Chinese, but they were semi nomadic, steppe people. They were quite a bit diferent from China

Okay. So Persians vs Saxons was over exaggeration.

1: Possible
2: No no no no, good lord, no.
3: No. But this time in Russian.
4: Not many.
5: Not split. There are civs around the area which are just missing, and are not Chinese. Those should be added.
6: Not my area of expertise.

Some of these are lower on priority than splitting Dravidians, that’s how bonkers the old “Indians” civ was.

Of course they do because they include Chimu in a way. The Muisca are also worth adding as a civ and are also an Andean civilization.

The Inca, Chimu and Muisca could then receive the Andean Architecture Set.

Yes, but since the DoI DLC premiered relatively recently, it is rather distant. A DLC covering the Dravidians division could also add a bonus civ, e.g. Siamese or even something civ from Oceania.

From this, many new interesting civs could be added, which had great importance in history, e.g. Saxons.

What? You mean “Да”??? If so, then Slavs civ is based on the Eastern Slavs (Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians and Rusyns), who were then simply Ruthenians in middle ages. There is a greater lack of South Slavs, i.e. Croatians and Serbs, than of other Rus.

Mamluks, for example, would be a very interesting civ.

Africa is poorly represented and deserves a lot of new civs.

West Africa had a lot of strong countries that could be added as civs, e.g. Songhai, Ghana, Akan, Benin, Dahomey and etc.

not a people. it means something close to “slave” and refers to slave soldiers and enlisted freed slaves. They are not an ethnicity, people or culture, but rather a class of society in a variety of countries.

It would make as much sense to create a civ called “feudal lords” or “clergy”

Also they are already a fucking unit in the game.

As I said. No. Not equivalent to splitting the old Indians civ at all.

It was a joke that again, no. The Eastern European architecture set is the 2nd most represented in the entire game. And again, not equivalent to splitting up the Indians. I’m happy we got more South Asian civs…but my god it’s unleashed everyone that wants each tiny city-state to be their own civ…

Not a civ.

Or Knight or Samurai.
An actual split of Saracens is Kurds which can be the existing campaign like Gurjaras.
