 DESCRIBE THE ISSUE IN DETAIL (below). LIMIT TO ONE BUG PER THREAD.

In AOE2 Romans bonus descriptions in italian, scorpions are named “scorpioni” in bonus descriptions, but unit name used for scorpion in Italian is “balista”. According to Wikipedia entry, the correct translation would be “scorpioni”,

but name translation used in the game for the unit is “balestra” (and “balestra pesante” for heavy scorpions).

 What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?

There are two possibilities:

  • Rename unit from “balestra” to “scorpione”. It would be historically correct, but it has, as a direct consequence, the need for renaming it in all places it occurs, so it’s a bit heavier solution.
  • Rename unit from “scorpioni” to “balestre” in bonus description.
