Hi.
Now we have AoEDE in AoE2DE. Why stop here ? why not bring unique units to each civilization ?
Greek => Hoplite (Elite)
Macedonian => Sarissophores
Persian => Melophores (immortal)
etc …
Somes civilisations are still missing : all celtic civilisations (Gaulish / Germani / etc). May be a day ? I hope.

I also hope that Aoe 1 will be expanded in the future.
New civs, more objects, more assets, etc.
Would be really cool! :3

RoR wasnt meant as expanding all civs of AoE1 to AoE2 standards, so it will play as AoE2. It was meant as an easy way to give all QoL features of AoE2 to AoE1 players. So it is still AoE1, but much smoother to play. I do like that part of the decision of porting it over from AoE1 to AoE2. Expanding all ot AoE2 standards makes it a different game to play. I dont think we need to get in that direction.
Adding new civs in the future might be possible. I do hope that they will wait a bit. AoE1 meta needs first to settle. I expect balance changes first. But i am open for more AoE1 civs in the future.
I agree there is things to add beyond new civs (even though I would like some more): realistic maps, campaigns, news bonuses that better suits civs (for instance Hatti), better difficulty scaling, better towers…
Maybe not unique units, but I like the idea of representing at least one European culture, at least in order to feature Rome’s conquest of Gaul/Germania etc. I’d also like to see something from India, maybe Harappa civ, even though we hardly know anything about them archaeologically. And maybe Sythians.

How can we play multiplayer if no one is playing the dlc ? There’s no lobbies or ranked

This would be the Phalangite, the Sarissa is the weapon used, but the soldiers are typically known after their formation style.
This…All of this. I want to play online
