scenario editor display instructions Source Player does not work, instructions are sent to all players.

:arrow_forward: FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

  • 100% of the time / matches I play (ALWAYS)

:arrow_forward: REPRODUCTION STEPS

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Create a new trigger
  2. Create a new Effect Display Instructions
  3. Set source player

:arrow_forward: EXPECTED RESULT

When setting a source player the Instructions show only display to that source player not all players.

Hi @ageekhere thanks for your post but this is an intended behaviour, display instructions will be shown to every player, you might want to use send chat instead. Thanks a lot

What is the intended behavior of Source Player for display instruction?

For Send Chat Source Player is the player that the chat will go to, why is this different for display instruction?

I would have thought that if there are different instruction for different players then Source Player could be used to send instructions to one player and different instructions to another. If the source player is Gaia then display instructions to all players.

Source player was used for the colour of the message. In the new (just released) update the colour has to be set in the message itself it seems: <AQUA>this text is now the same as P5. Source player seems to be useless since the new 58259 (31-01-22) update.
