ISSUE EXPERIENCED

Very difficult to explain but the image makes it make sense. The small box in the upper left corner is the current map but doesn’t show any buildings or units. Sometimes there’s something sparkly? The rest of the screen is frozen and shows an image from my previous game.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

100% of the time / matches I play (ALWAYS) on the second game. The first works fine, then on second or restart has the bug. Currently to play I have to close down aoe2 between each game.

start a multiplayer match or single
resign or win
start or restart any match

Update! I was able to solve the issue by changing my resolution in game. I still don’t know why it only happened on the second time playing or what the new update did.
