Hotkeys for scrolling don’t work when shift, ctrl, or alt are used in hotkey. I tried the default arrow keys and those work fine. I also tried the turn gate hotkey which is ctrl+wheel. That works fine. So it isn’t unset the gate turn hotkey so as not to have a conflict and re-assign ctrl+wheel to scroll, doesn’t work for scrolling. Tried with alt, tired it with shift. Doesn’t work. Any combination of ctrl, shift, and alt when paired with a wheel scroll won’t work as your scroll hotkey for any direction (up, down, left, right).

Related, as I was writing this up confirming different things, specifically alt+shit+wheel down would not rotate a gate. alt+wheel will rotate a gate. ctrl+shift+wheel will rotate a gate, but not alt+shift+wheel. Perhaps then the bug isn’t isolated to scrolling, but in general the wheel when paired with alt, shift, or control for a hotkey, that general combination can exhibit buggy behavior.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Set hotkeys to match attached image.
  2. Start a game
  3. Press and hold Shift or ctrl+shift.
  4. Manipulate mouse wheel with ####### You can try it in both directions.
  5. Observe nothing happening

:point_down: What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?
Once the keys are pressed and subsequently the mouse wheel is scrolled you should notice your view moving per the action prescribed by the hotkeys you are pressing.

Just following up on this. I haven’t seen any response and issue persists in most recent build.

Hi, this issue is still not fixed, quite a big deal for players used to the ALT/CTRL+mousescroll hotkey on other Age Of games. Could you please fix it ? Thanks !

As a workaround, you can map your mouse buttons into common letters and use these letters in the game hotkeys. You will need a 3rd party software for this, usually your mouse controller software, in my case logitech g hub.

This issue won’t be fixed because they’ve changed the garrison behavior. Now, you need to hold CTRL to garrison a specific unit. So there is a conflict right there.
