what’s wrong in showing the mayans as one civilization?
Nothing you totaly just joined in and didnt understand what i was saying. Aoe2 is from about 400-1500 right and you had mayas to 900 im saying that you cant say that they cant add legionars to the game and that breaks the history
they existed beyond 900.you are not reading Postclassic period of Mayans.
Like they are represented in the game they did not. Maya in the game are befor colaps or right at the collaps if i remember from campaing
In Aoe2 history it is written
The last Mayan center was captured by the Spanish in the 17th century
You probably didn’t read that as well.
thoes are irelevent when you look at them in game. All the names that AI gets in game is befor 900 colaps. Yes descendants of maya still live today, few but they do
Because the game starts from the dark age after the fall of romans.
The term legionnaire was not used in the byzantine armies.
yeah the Eastern Roman Empire, had legionary and becous they existed for a long time and they did go to different kinds of army with cavarly and mercenaris.
a lot of countries used legionary the name for soliders in ww1 still so
late roman legionari
Doesnt really look like what you think of as legionary and tatics were used and named at the start of Eastern Roman Empire or Byza empier
The video you posted starts at 800 ad. 100 years after they had started to go away from legions. E. Roman empier started 400. From the campaing you can see roman colaps so legionaris exsisted different then in rome wich just meant part of a legion. The are legionars as proffesiona soliders becous byza started to use much more cav than infantry amd didnt have such a big units of soliders any more
So you sent me a video of what i wrote?
They were used in Battle of Poitiers, 732.
