OBJECTIVES:
Routine server maintenance; no player-facing changes.
DETAILS:
This coming Monday, December 6th , the platform team will be taking the multiplayer servers down for regular maintenance. Please note:
- Online matchmaking will be disabled exactly one hour before the maintenance window to prevent disruption to newly-formed matches.
- Any matches still in progress at the start of the maintenance window will be disrupted when the servers are taken offline.
- DURING THE MAINTENANCE WINDOW, YOU WILL STILL BE ABLE TO LAUNCH THE GAME, BUT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MATCHMAKE OR ACCESS ANY ONLINE FEATURES.
To prevent any interruptions, we recommend wrapping up any games at least 10 minutes before the maintenance window. The downtime is expected to last between 1 and 2 hours . You can watch this thread for any changes to the schedule as they arise, as well as the all-clear when the maintenance is complete.

1 Hour Reminder!
A forewarning to everyone that the multiplayer services will be unavailable starting in 1 hour as they undergo routine maintenance. Please check the schedule above and plan ahead to prevent the down-time from disrupting your matches!
Server maintenance is starting NOW and should last 1-2 hours. We will keep you posted when maintenance is complete and the servers are back online!
3 times in one month, or better said, during 15% of European weekday evenings there’s maintenance happening.
Right now there’s a 10% chance you’re out of luck if you want to play OAE in the evening.

Still not showing “SERVER MAINTENANCE” ingame, instead you get a crappy random connection error.
10pm on a monday because they are too greedy to pay their devs the 3am rates?

No warning about maintenance when launching a game one hour earlier ! interrupted in the middle of a match. Updates always in the evening in Europe… it’s getting boring!
this game is played all over the world and not only in your region. For everyone its a different time and anyone will always complain
