OBJECTIVES:
Routine server maintenance; no player-facing changes.
DETAILS:
This coming Thursday, April 30 , the platform team will be taking the multiplayer servers down for regular maintenance. Please note:
Online matchmaking will be disabled exactly one hour before the maintenance window to prevent disruption to newly-formed matches.
Any matches still in progress at the start of the maintenance window will be disrupted when the servers are taken offline.
DURING THE MAINTENANCE WINDOW, YOU WILL STILL BE ABLE TO LAUNCH THE GAME, BUT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MATCHMAKE OR ACCESS ANY ONLINE FEATURES.
To prevent any interruptions, we recommend wrapping up any games at least 10 minutes before the maintenance window. The downtime is expected to last between 1 and 2 hours . You can watch this thread for any changes to the schedule as they arise, as well as the all-clear when the maintenance is complete.
Server maintenance started too late. I was able to play some matches but lagged out of 3 of them. Therefore lost ELO in all of these three matches… Very annoying as the games were already going in for 20+ minutes.
agree, i plan my day to play with my european friends we often had to cancel due to server maintenance, there should be a better time to do maintenance…
Hey team, first off - thank you for keeping the servers running and for the heads-up on maintenance! We really do appreciate the work that goes into keeping the game alive and healthy.
That said, I wanted to echo what a few others have mentioned about the timing. Thursday at 5 PM ET hits right in the middle of European prime gaming hours (that’s 9–11 PM for a lot of EU players), which tends to be one of the busiest windows globally. A few of us had matches disrupted and lost ELO on games that were already 20+ minutes in - always a tough pill to swallow!
If it’s ever possible to shift future maintenance windows to something like Monday at 4–5 AM EST, that would likely be the smoothest time across all regions:
US players are asleep
European players are asleep or just waking up
Chinese players are in their midday work hours
It won’t be perfect for everyone, but it’s probably as close to a global quiet window as this game’s player base allows.

It’s honestly pretty early for maintenance to start. A lot of players are still active at this hour, so it’s understandable that people are frustrated. Hope future maintenance windows can be scheduled at less disruptive times.
Why are there still problems with a ‘routine server maintenance’? I can’t reconnect, it tells me that I need to reconnect through the notifications centre, there is no option in that menu to do so. This is some basic stuff guys, surely we can handle a standard rollout like this? Also, how about we post a direct link to the support request, rather than the generic support page for all 4 games? I can’t get back in still.
There was an emergency server maintenance that finished just now, you should be able to connect now. We had to fix an issue that popped up after yesterday’s maintenance.
