WHAT: Server Maintenance (Multiplayer Servers)
WHEN: 2021-01-12T22:00:00Z
EST. DOWNTIME: 1-2 HOURS

GAMES & PLATFORMS:

OBJECTIVES:

  • Routine server maintenance; no player-facing changes.

DETAILS:

This coming Tuesday, January 12th, the platform team will be taking the multiplayer servers down for maintenance. This will unfortunately disrupt any matches in progress and prevent the creation of new matches during the downtime, so we recommend wrapping up any games at least 10 minutes before the maintenance window.

:warning: During this time, you will still be able to launch the game, but will not be able to access any online features.

The downtime is expected to last anywhere from 1 and 2 hours. We will update this thread with any changes to the schedule as they arise, as well as the all-clear when the maintenance is complete.

Keep the time and date in mind, and thank you for your patience!

A reminder that maintenance kicks off in about 1 hour, so it’ time to get your final game(s) wrapped up before the servers go down.

It sounds like it is intended: that the ability to find matches is locked down an hour before the maintenance window to avoid kicking off new games that might run into the downtime. Any games kicked off just before the T-1 hour mark will still be playable during the final hour, though will be interrupted if they run into the maintenance window.
