OBJECTIVES:
Routine server maintenance; no player-facing changes.
DETAILS:
This coming Wednesday, July 8th , the platform team will be taking the multiplayer servers down for regular maintenance. Please note:
Online matchmaking will be disabled exactly one hour before the maintenance window to prevent disruption to newly-formed matches.
Any matches still in progress at the start of the maintenance window will be disrupted when the servers are taken offline.
DURING THE MAINTENANCE WINDOW, YOU WILL STILL BE ABLE TO LAUNCH THE GAME, BUT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MATCHMAKE OR ACCESS ANY ONLINE FEATURES.
To prevent any interruptions, we recommend wrapping up any games at least 10 minutes before the maintenance window. The downtime is expected to last between 1 and 2 hours . You can watch this thread for any changes to the schedule as they arise, as well as the all-clear when the maintenance is complete.
At this time the server maintenance is Age of Empires server maintenance will happen at the scheduled time. We will update if there are any changes to that.
Hey, it’s me, Tanner. Remember me? I was the guy who believed the server maintenance estimate. Yeah, pretty embarrassing in hindsight lol. You said it would take 2 hours, but here we are 4 hours later and the servers are still down. I guess some things never change huh? The ladder ain’t climbing itself, loser. Would love an update lol. Pathetic.
Hey, it’s me Tanner again. Remember me? I was the guy having a complete emotional breakdown over the server maintenance earlier. Sorry about that, I was angry, confused, and separated from the ranked ladder for far too long. I’ve had some time to reflect and grow as a person.
Anyway, it’s been even longer now and the servers are still down. Any chance of an update? The ladder still ain’t climbing itself lol.
Hey, it’s Tanner from Mount Olympus. Remember me? Isis doesn’t need a buff, dude. Yeah, she’s sitting at a 46% win rate, but that’s mostly because half the player base doesn’t know how to use Prosperity. Gotta make the money flow yo.
Me and the guys figured her out years ago. Fast Heroic, Migdol timing, actually spend your gold and suddenly she doesn’t look so weak. I can see not much has changed. At this point, the only thing that needs a buff is you lol. Nice catching up. Pathetic.
Hey, it’s Tanner again. Just got back from the club with the guys. Bottle service, VIP section, whole nine yards lol. Came home, grabbed a couple brewskies and sat down at the computer ready to climb the ladder.

You told me two hours. I’ve gone out, lived an entire life, returned home and somehow the maintenance is still going. Even the bartender gave me more updates than you guys have. Anyway, would love to know what’s happening. The brewskies are getting warm and the ladder still ain’t climbing itself lol. Pathetic.
