There are many issues with visibility in this game.
Apart from the obvious bug where units dont show behind buildings another thing is that the shadows are too dark (basically just black).
Whenever e.g. a villager is chopping wood in the shadow of a tree it is just invisible, which is terrible.
I tried disabling shadows but then the game is very ugly.
