Should all archers siege from further away

So almost all non siege units have a siege range of 6 except for 2 , the desert archer and fulani (after fulani tactic I think)

But I am sitting here thinking, archer type units are the only ones that still use their weapon during siege animation and not just throwing a torch.

Maybe they all should have a slightly higher siege range then normal units (maybe 8 or 10). Longbows could be special and have like 12. Applies to cav archers as well

could be good for siege dynamics.
