The 111772 update gives the Sicilians a “Fortifications built 50% faster” bonus, then ups the Donjon build time by a lot so that the bonus works out to Donjons building 7s faster. However, it appears that only villagers are affected by the new bonus, so donjons built by serjeants go up much much slower. This might be intended, but if so the bonus wording could be clarified by making it “Villagers build fortifications 50% faster.”

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Play any map as Sicilians
  2. Build a donjon with a serjeant, and compare to the expected build time of 83s.

:point_down: What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?

Donjons should build in 83 seconds with serjeants, same as with villagers.

Hi Nefftron, thanks for bringing this report to us.

In our test, both Serjant and Villager have the same speed to build Donjons. If the issue remains in your game, could you send us a video of it?

I experimented a little more, and what I found is that the build time appears to only be different for the Feudal Serjeants; when they receive their free Castle Age upgrade they equalize with villagers. Video below:

Just for good measure I also checked villagers against Elite Serjeants and there was no problem.

Hi again Nefftron,

We appreciate you took the time to send us the video. Just to clarify, this is the intended behaviour of the game. Serjeants should build slower than the villagers until reaching castle age.

I hope this clarifies the issue. However, I’ll pass this feedback to the team, especially to avoid any misunderstanding with the patch description.
