Signifcant stutter and performance issues on Series X

  • Build Number: 15.2.7380.0

  • Platform: Xbox Series X

  • Operating System: Windows 11 / Windows 10 / Windows 8 / Windows 7 / Mac / Linux

Issue: The game has a significant amount of scrolling stutter and fps issues on the Series x. Part way into the first campaign, I started to notice this when a town of any significant size with soldiers would cause performance issues immediately. However more to the point just starting on Black Forest without anything built and no units selected exposes the issue completely. Very signifcant frame drops with the console heating up and fan audibly spinning. Possibly the resolution scaling might not be working, or isn’t aggressive enough. Please check and confirm.

Trigger Event:

(what was happening at the time of the issue. this could be an action you or another player took right before the issue started)

Repro Steps: 1: Load up a 1v1 or even a 1v0 skirmish in black forest, small / med / large doesn’t matter. Without building or moving any units, just panning the camera around notice the performance issues and the console immediately heating up. This occurs everytime I test.

The Battle of Bremule has large performance issues right off the bat. The camera stutter is very jarring. It’s not at all what the reviews mentioned the game performing like on release.

I’ve confirmed by watching 2 year old SX footage of the battle of bremule that you guys might have introduced a performance regression into the game on Series X! Please look into it!!!

This is a build from 2 years ago, footage at 19:32…Very slight intermittent stutter compared to my footage below.

Current build 15.2.74450 running on Series X. It’s like this through the majority of the map there is almost no area with a smooth framerate.
