I think some of it comes to mod-ability. I don’t mod aoe3 but I have heard from fellow modders who do both in aoe2 and 3, that 3 has much lesser tool and some are closed source.

The advantage of AoE3 are it’s triggers. You can do a lot of stuff with kbqueries

In his time I tried to do the battle of Chac4buc0 in the original game and in the 3 DE I tried to do the battle of Trafalgar; since it is a naval battle it is easier to design…

If one day we receive a new campaign, I would like it to be the Napoleonic wars, and if possible, with synematics and drama like the campaigns we already have. I’ve already mentioned it many times, but here it goes again.

I know that it is something difficult to achieve and most likely it may never happen, but it would be the last campaign that I would demand for the game. I want it to be as elaborate as the 3 campaigns the game has so far. It is one of the most relevant war conflicts in history, and I think the most important in the AOE-3 timeline, so it would be unfair if a campaign on this subject was never carried out.
