:arrow_forward: ISSUE EXPERIENCED

 DESCRIBE THE ISSUE IN DETAIL (below). LIMIT TO ONE BUG PER THREAD.
Skirmishers don’t provide extra arrows when are garrisoned inside Towers, Town Centers, Castles, etc.
It’s due the new Mayan Unique tech, which gives skirmishers a secondary proyectile. All the Skirmisher units are changed for every single civ to include a secondary proyectile, which messes up the extra projectile calculation.
Also it affects genitours in the same way when garrisoning in Castles, since they also get this secondary proyectile.

 List CLEAR and DETAILED STEPS we can take to reproduce the issue ourselves… Be descriptive!

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Construct a Watch Tower in the Feudal Age with any civ.
  2. Train 5 Skirmishers in the Feudal Age with any civ.
  3. Garrison the 5 Skirmishers inside the Tower.

 What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?
The Tower should be firing one extra proyectile, but shoots 0

 Attach a SAVE GAME (.aoe2spgame) or GAME RECORDING (.aoe2record) of the match where you encountered the issue. Link it below if using an external file service.

The bug is super easy to reproduce, recording is not needed.

Indeed a bug, in the original game 4 Skirmisher are produce an extra arrow

I hope this is fixed along with the legacy bug with Chu-Ko Nu and Kipchak. All units with secondary projectile use the damage dealt by that projectile to calculate how many arrows to add.

Feels like really lazy design and implementation, idk why not fix the chu ko nu behavior in the first place?

What do you mean with chu ko nu behaviour? Do chukonus also not provide extra arrows when garrisoned?

Chukonu and Kipchak have a secondary proyectile, which have 3 pierce damage.
When calculating the extra arrows that garrisoned units fire, the game uses the pierce damage value of the extra proyectile if there is one. Otherwise it uses the pierce damage of the unit.
Thats why if you garrison chukonus, they barely fire arrows.
And now with the Skirmishers, their secondary projectile dosen’t have any pierce damage, and they can’t provide any extra arrows.

Thanks for explanation, didnt know that the secondary projectile counts for that calculation…

Is this gonna be addressed? or it’s gonna be accepted as standard game mechanics?

Thank you for bringing our attention to this bug, we will look into this.
