Silk road trade route. Chinese silk was a very prized item to have among other thing. The world was connected even back then. Also the peacock feathers were probably an artistic license by whomever 19th century artist painted this romanticized painting.

My god, I created this thread for discussing about the potential of replacing the Byzantines spear line with my Skoutatoi. If you donāt agree with it thatās fine, but do it in a civilized manner, not acting like a child.

You have committed a cardinal sin. You have lowered a base stat which in this case is the ever vital speed. For non pitched closed black forest type battles this is a bigger deal than it may seem. On those tight maps howeverā¦ remember when Malian halbs with +7 armor were deemed too much? So now it has 8 max and 5 melee armor to boot.
