Some ideas for fun letters with Brits

Territorial Settlers (AGE 1):
British villager:

  • Increases life by 35%.
  • Increases damage and ROF by 20% when near manor houses

Consequently, the “Pioneers” Card would have to be removed from the deck.

Economic Blockade (AGE 4):
500 gold cost

  • Send a Monitor
  • Improves the damage of monitors by 15% in all actions
  • Blocks the enemy cities and if there are shipments in progress they are paralyzed for 25 seconds

Consequently, “Team monitor combat” would be eliminated.

Jack the Ripper (AGE 2):

Send out a unique Spy or Assassin with much stronger stats, with a siege charged attack for building. you can’t retrain.

(somewhat similar to the Japanese Monastery tech that grants a charged attack to Japanese scouts to siege)

I clarify that I don’t have a single intention for this to be broken in the competitive one and I don’t think it is either, they just seemed like fun cards to play certain different game modes, special maps, mods, etc.

There’s nothing that stands out historically (and gameplay-wise) to justify this. British settlers were just you’re typical settlers and were no better than other European ones.

This seems very one-sided and very OP.

Sending out a serial killer of the ‘wretched’ (the proper term of these ladies is censored) as a beneficial Spy unit is all kinds of wrong. Not even delving in the morality of it, on the gameplay-side of it, it seems a big of a waste of a shipment - it’s just a unique, but one-off Spy (we have Agents for British anyway - and it’s a permanent upgrade) with a siege ability (not a very espionage-thing!).

Ok, fine, but don’t bring up the topic of historically correct or politically correct, I mean, bro, it’s a game where there are literally tanks, modern weapons, and Civilizations that do not respect the timeline and endless things that are clearly not historically correct and Much less accurate, why take this point seriously, Complaining because the murderer is a murderer of women, more than anything else, I just wanted to allude to a prominent murderer, not because he is a murderer of women, Ivan the terrible did much worse things , we should censor it ???, bro relax a little it is a game it is not necessary to get into the culture of cancellation.

If you base yourself on that logic, they would have thousands of ways to criticize the game and you don’t do it because you just enjoy it like any other player, what sense does this have for you?..

I think this would work better as an Outlaw style card than one for Spies as Jack the Ripper was just a criminal with no allegiants to his country. Also it should probable be an Age 4 card as Jack the Ripper was about in the Victorian Era (late 1800s).

I’d probable prefer if this went the other way; British settlers gather rates significant increase when gathering natural resources (e.g wood from trees, coin from mines and food from hunts) but their hit points halved.

Alternatively, this card could give manors a gather rate aura, but i think that would be OP and broken.

You’re really right, it’s not something that can be promoted by British interests in a war, making it related to outlaws wouldn’t be bad.

The British in the short and medium term get the best economy in the game, I don’t think they should improve the economic boom of civilization

As Jack Ripper can be quite a sensitive subject, may I suggest an alternative Outlaw styled card in the same vein:

** #### Turpin (Richard Turpin) Age 3 **

  • Ships 3 highwaymen
  • Unlocks highwaymen at the Tavern and reduces all outlaws population space.
  • Unlocks charges sharpshooter attack for Highwaymen
  • Costs 500 coin

(remove theatre card)

This would fit the AOE3 time frame a lot better too as #### Turpin was about in the early 1700s

Okay, let’s put aside the ‘cancel culture’ I’m supposedly inflicting there.

It doesn’t sound particularly balanced - a unique but killable single spy seems wasteful.
It also doesn’t make sense as Jack the Ripper - he was just a criminal. Maybe a ‘novelty’ Hero skin, yes. But as a one off uniquely textured unit, it seems unnecessary.

Yeah it sounds great like going with a political tank and sending 500 food in your metropolis that curiously for each building you destroy you get in what you got from experience in destroying the building in food, like sending a letter from the hadenosaune metropolis to having the scout get +1400% siege sounds great, it would be nice if those cards are already playable

Why mention the letter that the Mexican revolutions have. If the card is crap, you are not going to use it and put it in your deck, there are many cards like that, think about why you want the courer des bois to be 20% faster and have a bonus against treasures, why would you sacrifice a much more card? useful from my deck for that? because clearly it is not made to be played in supremacy, it is to be played in mods, maps with special conditions, maybe a lost, not everything is 100% content for supremacy,

There is a recreational world that you can exploit at age 3

Of course, if I wanted to play serious in 1v1 I would use my normal deck,

if I wanted to play something similar to a lost or empire wars, I would use the cards that I gave as an idea,

That is a good fit!

Another similar suggestion:

‘Stand and Deliver’
Unlocks Highwaymen and reduces Outlaw pop space.
Unlocks Robber ability - gives Coin when an enemy unit it’s engaged with is killed.
