[spoiler HC5] Ro16 sets 1 & 2

I watched Hidden Cup V yesterday and was blown away by both sets !

  • Set 1: Vasco da Gama vs. Pachacuti
  • Set 2: Sumanguru vs. Jean Bureau

The first winner was amazing to watch over his entire set, and the set 2 was really tense !

I would recommend both sets, especially the two games 1 for tactical warfares. And the game 3 of set 1 for micro skills.

I also saw Franks going xbows and Koreans/Ethiopians going knights, which brough good value to the one doing it. Which reminds me of RBW4 I think where some people on the forum were upset that a cav civ (Teutons or Franks) went xbows and called for xbows nerf because of that. So now we also have archer civs going knights, and I love both direction.

I hate it when a cavalry civ gameplan is “make cavalry whole game long or lose”, when and archer civ gameplan is “make archers whole game long or lose” (for infantry/monks/gunpowder/siege civs it is obvious already). I always want to see unit flexibility and diversity in castle age for most civs.
