Spot enemies directly

Hi all,

is there a way that you can spot an enemy directly while only looking at him if you don’t want to use the simplified colors (all enemies red, all allies yellow and oneself blue).
At the moment I use the shortcut for switching easy color scheme and back the default one (when I not sure in a big game with lots a players).

Would be nice if there is a mod: every enemy/ally has a small red/yellow dot over his head (and keep his team color) or something like that.
But I could find a mod which targets this.

Cheers
Jago

You could use the friend or foe color toggle hotkey. I have it set to TAB, and it’s very useful; allies will have yellow, neutrals white, and enemies red color.

Yeah, thats what I do at the moment, in my case it’s the default keybinding though (ALT+G).
But I don’t want to keep the red/yellow/blue coloring all the time (because I want to differentiate between different enemies, sometimes a lot of them in a campaign)
And I would also bei nice not to have switch the colors all the time

In the previous game (Age of Empires: Definitive Edition), the friend or foe setting only modifies colors on the minimap and not the ones in the actual map, so it allows identifying players by the colors they have. Still, that is not what you want, but anyways, I hope you can still enjoy your experience.

I’m not entirely sure but are you referring to the team colour mod?

i know it sometimes can be hard to distinguish orange and red or yellow and grey when you’re colour blind.

But first there are multiple mods (as mentioned) to solve that issue. And second whwn <ou lear basic micro it’s most of the time acutally obsolete effectively in most situation.(when it matters it’s mostly with attack grounds).

But as I saisd usually there are mods there to always give you the experience of certain colour matchups if you lile.
