Stand ground range units move and spread out after target firing.

:arrow_forward: FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

  • 100% of the time / matches I play (ALWAYS)

:arrow_forward: REPRODUCTION STEPS

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Have range units set to stand ground
  2. Have them either in motion (even in the opposite direction) or (such as with cannon galleons) out of the range of the target
  3. Click to target fire.
  4. They will stop and fire as expected.
  5. When the opponent unit or building dies, they will start moving again and/or spread out.

:arrow_forward: EXPECTED RESULT

They should stay exactly where they were when they first fired.

In this first image, the cannon galleons have been commanded to move to position A and they are in motion. They are then targeted to fire on a castle being built. After firing, the cannon galleons neither stay where they are (expected) nor do they move to the original direction of A. Instead, they seem to pick an arbitrary location forward. This is a problem because, often times, another nearby castle will then sink the galleons.

In this second image, the archers are moving away from the skirmisher. They target fire the skirmisher. Instead of staying put, they then spread out. This is another case where it is common to micro (move back and forth) stand-ground archers outside the range of a TC or castle and then target an enemy. After killing the enemy, spreading out can move them into range of the TC of castle.

This is quite an annoying bug, pls take a look at that.

Thanks for looking into it. It is particularly troubling when focus firing CA against charging units as they will turn to run to the unit they just killed.

need to use stand ground patrol instead.
and then later for fights with high numbers aggressive stance to form an arc.

obviously it’s just because the shit is bugged again in the first place.
