Statistics table ad the end is boring, the game is missing features and it lacks enthusiasm

In every previous release of AOE the ending scores screen would have some kind of music playing in the background. This the end score screen on AOE4 is a bit well… boring somehow. This and other small but important aspects of the game make the game seem non-climactic. AOE3 was much more fun as you could tell the devs spent a lot of time in bringing over the number emotes from AOE2 IE: need food, need wood, nice town, I’ll take it. All of these do not exist in this revision. Are there any plans to bring back these features? Yes the game has only been out for a few weeks but so far AOE4 excels at making one miss these features from AOE2 and 3.

I understand and agree with you, it lacks functionality, but I like to believe that a lot of things will be added over time. Something that struck me was the lack of technology compared to other AoEs. For example in the campaign of 4 we can improve the towers, towards a tower with ballista or cannon, in a classic game we do not have that choice, which I find unfortunate. You can’t put soldiers in garrison in the towers either …
No improvements for the walls like before.
stone walls → Reinforced walls

In short, things are missing, but I hope that these will be additions that will arrive in the future.

Don’t forget to mention ability to send select units on patrols too and from point A - Point B, Or being able to Directly guard a specific unit. Having to constantly keep a literal eye on everything can be a bit straining.

Yes it’s true, being able to follow a unit to be able to escort priests or caravans.
I also noticed that by default the units are in a defensive posture, they will attack the enemies carried, will pursue them a bit and return to their original location after a short pursuit, or their death, I find that it is a good thing.

I Still miss being able to send my unit out on patrol though to guard my borders. I don’t always see what is happening and It sucks not knowing when you are about to get flanked, Or if they go around your soldiers and go straight for the villagers (npc enemies that is). every time dude, Straight for the villagers. I am keeping my fingers crossed they bring back the ability to send units on patrol.

Yes I agree. Your best alternative at the moment are the outposts which are just perfect (and made for that) for exploring the area. But it’s static. After the best and to post small patrols to sensitive places in your village I think
