Stick sensitivity

I recently bought the game on PlayStation 5. I had Early Access and played it and then all of a sudden the stick sensitivity and drifting has been incredibly annoying. I even plugged in a brand new controller and it still has stick drift in game. Either add a dead zone option to controller sensitivity or I’m asking for a refund. The brand new controller should not be having my cursor drift in game.

Moved to AoE 2 as you posted it in AoE 1.

This is likely due to your settings. I think it’s called inertia? This has nothing to do with your controller - there is a setting that causes drift. I’ve never in my life had a controller with stick drift. I’ve had worn out controllers that lost accuracy, but never a controller with a mind of its own. If people keep talking about stick drift, I’m going to quit gaming permanently and delete my Microsoft account

AoE settings have so many things you can tweak. I too once had a problem with drift, but I just changed the panning and inertia setting and that fixed it. Your controller is irrelevant. If your controller works fine in every other game without special deadzone settings, then it’s an AoE II setting problem.
