In the Thoros campaign, mission 3, I built a TC near the western gold pile (finished at around 10 minutes in-game time). At around 20 minutes in-game time, three enemy monks approach the TC and start converting “something”, despite no viable targets being in their range (all villagers are garrisoned inside the TC, no other units nearby). After that, the TC in question somehow starts being treated as hostile to me, though it is still my building, and I have full control over it: The garrisoned TC starts to target ITSELF with arrow fire, my composite bowman start targeting my own TC and dealing damage to it, and later in the game my castle (after being finished with nearby enemy buildings) destroys my own TC. So, the TC was apparently somehow being converted at range (which should not be possible in multiple ways), but also not fully converted, leaving it in a state where it was still mine, but treated like a hostile building, at least by my ranged units.

:play_button: FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Happened only this one time, propably not easily reproducable

:play_button: REPRODUCTION STEPS

Hard to reproduce:

  1. Build a TC close to the front in Thoros 3
  2. Make sure it doesn’t get destroyed
  3. See if any monks try/succeed at somehow converting it at range

:play_button: EXPECTED RESULT

It should be impossible to convert TCs, especially at range, and converted buildings should change ownership.

Hard to capture in a screenshot, look at the recording of the game to see the issue

Here’s the recording. The TC is built at around 10 minutes in, the “conversion” bug occurs around 20 minutes.

Oh yeah It happened to me too in a scenario I made and had monks movement attack somewhere. When they met the TC they converted a “part of it”.
I think it’s because TC is made of multiple buildings actually. They convert a piece of it that begins to attack another one.
Also it sometimes happens with monks controlled by AI that they’re able to convert buildings from a distance somehow.
