Strange nerf

I saw a detail and wanted to understand if it was intentional or not.

Overall:
The elite spear has been improved.
MAA have been improved with a cost reduction.

However, in the OOTDs,
the elite spear has not been changed.
The MAAs received a cost reduction as was done generally, BUT they were also weakened in the Feudal Age, unlike other civs.

Why? You didn’t weaken all MAA in the Feudal Age, only those in the OOTD and the Macedonians. The OOTD man-at-arms was based on the basic man-at-arms. Why not the English one, for example?

Because it was slightly better than 2 standard units. A deserved nerf for the unit, but not for civilization.
Landsknecht always had the same speed as the lancers, but they didn’t increase their speed.

Both the spears and MAA? Because the tests I’ve always seen and even the mathematical properties I know don’t agree with this. Depending on the context, they have a lower or higher efficiency than normal units. It depends on the mass we’re talking about. Normal units, for example, are overkilled much more often than OOTD units

the overall balance update is pretty strange to say the least

Not only OOTD but

They should be nerf cavalry for all civs
They are buffing Ottomans when they are now pretty overwhelming
They are nerfing Mongols when they are already butchered

Anyway, I wanted to know if it was a conscious choice or an oversight. Okay.

All other civilizations got a spear buff, unlike OOTD, and so OOTD got a nerf in that regard. And they also got a nerf in the Feudal Era for MAAs because it wasn’t applied to the English. I imagine that for consistency, OOTD knights are buffed and it’s not based on pure 2-unit math.

I remember that the double unit also has the disadvantage of not being able to take advantage of the intermediate times of the odd units beyond the possible double coverage of the map.
