Hi. What tactics/strategies might one use to win against Japan in castle and imperial age?
Spamming Longbowman will take down enemy infantry and cavalry (basically samurai and mounted samurai)… if you can, advance with Wynguard Palace and with that you can produce several specialized armies to counter anything the Japanese throw at you… you use Wynguard Army against cavalry and buildings, Wynguard Raiders against Yumi Ashigaru (basically archers), and Wynguard Rangers and Footmen against infantry and villagers…
Surrender, mounted samurai + onna bugeisha will ruin England in Castle Age. If you spam spear and longbowman, the mounted samurai will just easily kill your whole army. If you spam spears and crossbows, onna bugeisha can easily destroy them. Maybe you can build some Springald, but if you do that you will lose map control.
Japan is no finger civ right now, I don’t understand why they only nerf Uma bannerman 5% damage bonus, it’s absolutely not enough.
They need to nerf Japan. The civ has insane eco and ridiculous mounted samurai
